Pool Fencing: What type will suit you?

You have a pool in your yard. The most important thing to factor in when you have one is safety. Whether you think you need it or not, a pool is a risk, especially if you have young children or pets. So, a pool fence is essential and allows you that little bit of peace of mind when you just want to relax in your garden.  But there are so many different kinds! Let’s have a look at what type of pool fence you can get.

Aluminum Pool Fences

Aluminum fences are great because they are free from maintenance and don’t rust. They usually come with a lifetime warranty too. The great thing about them is that they can come in tons of grades and colors and therefore you have a variety of choices to make! They can suit both residential and commercial properties too. Not only will the fence add security, but it can add beauty too. If your pool is a saltwater pool, aluminum is a great choice because it will not rust like other pool fence types.

Iron Pool Fences

Wrought iron fences are great for all sorts of applications whether commercial or residential. They are a great choice for security due to their strength. They are also extremely decorative, enhance privacy and, of course, increase the safety around your pool.

All-Safe Fences

This type of pool fence is a great choice as it is removable. It can protect your children around the pool area but can be removed if the children are not home. The frame is lightweight and has a mesh fabric make-up that is extremely durable. It won’t tear easily, which is what you need where kids are concerned! This fence has support poles made from aluminum and they are nicely spaced, durable and strong. The fence can be removed easily and rolled up for storage. If you have young children (or children who visit) but don’t want a permanent feature fence, this one is the type of fence that would suit you nicely.

Glass Pool Fences

If you want maximum light and maximum transparency, a glass fence is a perfect choice. It’ll make your pool have that classic and contemporary look whilst being completely safe too. However, it is more difficult to clean, isn’t removable and, expectedly, is expensive.

Wooden Pool Fences

Wooden fences have the advantage (or disadvantage!) of not being transparent. They are also cheaper than many other kinds of fencing. They’re also pretty easy to put up and last quite a while.

So, what’ll it be?

Which fence you will end up going for will depend on your own needs and wants. Safety should be paramount and after that, it’s just aesthetics, personal preferences and cost that need to be considered! Oh, and let’s not forget the maintenance aspect. The last thing you want is a fence that always needs cleaning if you know that you’re a bit lax in the cleaning department!
